Jason Lassiter is Executive Director and Founder of Safety52Inc. He has an extensive background, over 15 years in Information Security. His first job out of college was with IBM and he has worked with many Fortune 500 Companies. He is the owner of several patents.
He believes strongly that we can make a huge difference in people lives by using smart technology to keep kids, adults and the elderly safe.
He has a passion for making a difference by using his experience and skills in helping others.
Having a 6 year old Son, he is well aware of the challenges from the internet and electronics for children.
John has prepared and prosecution of hundreds of patent applications both domestically and internationally covering electrical and mechanical inventions. Conducted novelty searches and prepared patentability opinions. Provided clearance opinions and manufacturing guidance prior to introduction of new products.
He has conducted patent infringement and validity studies and provided opinions, invention counseling, and general business counseling based on the studies.
John has served as in-house counsel for major corporations, such as Caterpillar, Inc. and Eastman Kodak Company, as outside counsel for Ford Motor Company and General Electric, and as a patent advisor for the Office of Naval Research evaluating innovations and providing research and manufacturing guidance.
He has negotiated and prepared intellectual property agreements and other business agreements.
John has particular enjoyment is derived from assisting independent inventors who stake their entire livelihood on a concept. Great delight comes from seeing the concept take shape and develop into a viable product.
